Between the hands of the noble reader is a work meant to correct misconceptions, establish new ideals, and most importantly provide role models. Unfortunately today, Muslims and non-Muslims alike have strayed away from the natural human inclination of cooperation and complementation. We are constantly being pushed towards a battle of the sexes that should not exist. In Islam, Allah makes it clear through the teachings of the Holy Quran and the traditions of the Prophet that man and woman were created as equals, each to complement and complete the other. This apps seeks to highlight this Divine decree and emphasize the examples that these teachings have brought about.
We will begin early in human history discussing the wives, daughters, and mothers of the Prophets including the blessed Mary mother of Jesus, may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon them both. We will then move on to the Mothers of the Believers, wives of the final Prophet Muhammad as well as to his blessed daughters and other women of his community. We will also discuss women warriors, scholars, preachers, and worshippers who have contributed greatly to the history of Islam. May this apps be used as a means to elevate our characters and broaden our aspirations. May each and every person, male and female, to come across it find benefit in it for their own lives. May Allah accept it from us as a contribution on humanity’s path towards excellence.
